This module introduces the foundational elements of accounting. You'll learn to read and interpret key financial statements, calculate and analyze essential financial ratios to assess a company's performance, and master the principles of the double-entry bookkeeping system.
This section focuses on the financial evaluation of investments and projects. It covers capital budgeting techniques (NPV, IRR, etc.), project accounting, budget tracking, and various inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, WAC) to manage and cost inventory effectively.
This module delves into the specifics of how product costs are determined and managed. You will explore the calculation of Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), learn to conduct break-even analysis, and apply Activity Based Costing (ABC) for more accurate overhead allocation.
The final module covers advanced financial concepts critical for long-term decision-making. Topics include throughput accounting, methods for calculating depreciation and amortization of assets, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis to determine the present value of future earnings.
