A look at the income statements of a few manufacturers shows that about two-thirds of the expense happens in the supply chain and operations areas, which includes procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation. Therefore, professionals working in these areas should have a deep understanding of the impact of their day-to-day work on product cost and eventually, the overall financial results.
The CIFA course attempts to make this connection by presenting the key principles and concepts in an easy-to-understand way for a non-financial professional, helping them make more informed decisions in their respective areas.
Course Formats
The CIFA course is offered as:

Self-paced courses:
Self-paced courses are reviewed by the students at their own pace and can be started at any time. Access to the course is activated within 24 hours from receipt of the course fee. Course duration depends on the curriculum and is extendable if needed. The module quizzes and the final test are self-administered. A certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.
The self-paced course includes the following:
- Access to the online training materials, including downloadable handbooks, exercise files, and other materials.
- Video lessons.
- Quizzes.
- Final Test.
- Soft copy of the certificate.
Instructor-led courses:
Instructor-led courses are conducted online and on-site. Online courses are presented in three-hour sessions over four Saturdays. Onsite courses where offered are a single-day seminar. Please contact for details.
The instructor-led course includes the following:
- Access to the online training materials, including downloadable handbooks, exercise files, and other materials.
- Video lessons.
- Quizzes.
- Final Test.
- Soft copy of the certificate.
CERTIFICATES
There is no difference between the certificates issued for the online courses and the courses held on-site at a physical location. Each BRASI certificate carries a unique ID code and is valid for life.
